Gaucher story, told by my mom

Gaucher Disease
I am a baby. My mom is writing this for me. Before I was born, my parents learned they are both carriers and I would be affected with Type 1. When I was born, it was confirmed. So far, I do not have any symptoms. I follow a Facebook group to learn what I can about gaucher. I also see a genetics counselor at Luries in Chicago once a year. This is my story so far.
