Travelled overseas in August  for a funeral and returned with malaria. Treated malaria and went back to work but GBS had already kicked in. Was experiencing tingling under my feet and hands and did not think much about. Decided to see a general practitioner and all blood work was perfect with blood pressure a little high which was explainable due to the unfortunate symptoms from the GBS. Decided to try a podiatrist to no success, then went to see a neurologist with no headway. So I decided to try the emergency room and luck struck. They came up with the diagnosis and treatment was started, IVIG for 5 days and was discharged with symptoms and pain both still at a heighten state. Returned home anyway with promise to follow up with home care which I turned down because I could take care of myself and still have some strenght and family at home. But was very immobile as my feet and hands were in very bad shape, with nerves highly irritated. The doctors told me to be patient and let the IVIG run its cours but it was hard. I finally talked to a homeophatic Dr. who turned me to a special supplement and after taking it for about three weeks, I started slowly resuming my normal activities and today I am back playing tennis and back to work. It has been about 4 months to my full recovery and I am willing to help anyone achieve my success. this a terrible disease.
