Story about Guillain-Barre Syndrome .

To Hell and Back

Apr 26, 2017

By: AM

In October 2016 I had the unfortunate experience of being introduced to GBS. Within a few days I was completely paralysed from head to toe, and in ICU on a trachea and NG tube. I received immunoglobins. I stayed in ICU for a month, and was then transferred to a normal ward for 2 weeks, and then transferred to a rehab hospital for 2 weeks. I had to use a wheelchair, walking frame, and a crutch during therapy. I am now walking independently. I have just recently started working again, on 18th April 2107.
