My granddaughter Emmery age 2 was incorrectly diagnosed with rotavirus on a Wednesday, by Friday she was not better and was taken back to urgent care. She was sent to ER and then correctly diagnosed with D+HUS (Diarrhea preceded Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome). Saturday she was life flighted to Children’s Hospital Colorado. She has been in ICU for 8 days so far. Yesterday she developed Posterior reversible encephalopathy (PRES), in addition to still fighting HUS. She is an amazing, and so strong.
