I have had HSP for 24 years with no help but after a fall I experienced numbness in my hands,my gp referred me to a speciality neurologist who in my opinion is wonderful,he has arranged tests for me which include genetic testing so after all this time I hope to have a better insight into the problem.Will update my story at a later date.
