Hi

I was born at 34 weeks back in 1989,

i was born with a condition called Hyaline membrane disease, which affects the lungs as they were immiture.

at a few days old I suffered a stroke which affected the left side of my body and my speech.

My hydrocephalus was a final result, I had my vp shunt inserted at about 5 weeks old.

i remember when I was little maybe 3 feeling a lump on my head, I thought it moved around and also thought that everyone had one.

it wasn't until I was at school being bullied that I started learning about what I had.

i had a revision at 18 months, my parents said I couldn't pick up a spoon to eat and that's when they noticed something was wrong.

my last revision was at 14 that was 13.5 years ago.

im now a mum of 3 beautiful kids, I work in Disability care and I love how fascinated kids are about why I can't use my hand and I love explaining it to them and letting them feel the bubble in my head, they think it's cool but gross.

thanks for reading
