Year Condition Began: 1990

For the most part living with Klinefelter's Syndrome is fine, you eat, sleep and live a normal life with pretty good quality. However, if your a kind to looking into the mechanics of life and others in it you begin to see things that you may want to take stock of for reference of others. So i have worked in industries which require a certain about of focus and direction to be effective, they are predominately male roles and the manufacture of goods. It has been my understanding that my mannerisms and communication is different. I may at times be more exuberant and share more "feelings" then the average writer. My thoughts will wonder and remaining on task is very difficult as my mind jumps from thought to thought. In looking back at my life thus far I think if any young person is venturing out I would encourage them to seek occupations where they work for themselves, I think they would be happier doing so as it capitalizes on their creative abilities and ingenuity. As well, it allows you to be with you and not be dependent on others which can be very challenging.

Be wary of discrimination, generally selection of services is everywhere and people are not often singled out but when you have a genetic condition the creative intent of you makes you very different and "people" can not understand. I have seen this countless times where being different has resulted in being gainfully unemployed, but through out my work life I have done exceptional work and the company has profited. But even thou your performance is great your "personality" is different and companies want a lock-step mentality...

I am not married, I was but this was prior to my diagnosis and I believe my differences contributed to a communication breakage which could never be rekindled. I prefer being alone actually, at times it can be lonely but in time I will have a pet and this may be at the best direction. Being alone is by choice and more so by desire as there is a certain about of peace.

Well, that is me.
