Irmabobirma's interview

How did all start?

I went to OBGYN for examination regarding the adnenomyosis..and he found the lichen. I was not aware that I had it until that moment. It was in the early stages.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

Yes I have a diagnosis and it was quick.

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

My most useful resource is my doctor of chinese medicine. She is amazing and her treatments have been helpful

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?

999 cream .. it has a cooling effect and 1% hydrocortisone.

What have been your biggest difficulties?

Horrible itching at night..and periodically in the day time while I am at work as well as burning when I used topical creams that burned. "ProTopic" was one of them. I used it once.

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

Not much has changed because I am very private about it. My husband and children know. Intimacy has been greatly affected however.

What things have you stopped doing?

Sexual relations.

What do you think about the future?

I am optimistic. Hoping for the miracle cure.. but until then.. my diet regime has changed.. I eat very healthy.. it seems to help.

What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?

Be intimate with my husband.

If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?

I'm happy and not a victim....I am a survivor

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?

Stay positive. Read as much as you can.. seek alternative care for your LS. Where possible, eat completely organic and stay away from SUGAR. ALL sugar...it's hidden in everything. Read your labels. Be well.
