I'm a 44year old wife and a mother to a 17 year old son. My Lupus/fibro dx came along in 1995. I was 21 and couldn't understand what a life style change meant. I wanted to and was doing everything that the average 20 something was doing.. I'm still grieving because as a result of vasculitis that came along with lupus led to my becoming disabled due to 4 strokes, the first one was when I was 39. My new normal consists of needing constant assistance. Losing my independence has me in a severe state of depression and anxiety.
