Mine started the year I turned 40. I became allergic to the mint family of herbs, mints, lavenders, oreganos, thyme, sage, marjoram, lemon balm, basils. Each exposure becomes harder to recover and the time before symptoms appear becomes faster.
I loved to cook with herbs prior to this. So we had them growing in the yard. Now we can not get rid of them.
Perfumes, soaps, dryer sheets, someone with mint gum, altoids, or a cough drop can trigger a reaction. It can take up to 3 weeks to fully recover from an exposure.
My doctor had me try Singular as a preventative it worked for a month before I reacted to that one also.
Now I do things like coffee and honey till I can get home and take Benadryl. Coconut milk helps with the stomach issues.
