How did all start?
Daughters left eye turned in towards nose when she was around 6 months old.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Yes, she wasn't diagnosed until she was closer to 3 or 4 yrs old.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Patching did NOT work for unilateral ONH - she is completely blind in her left eye. Patching her good eye was like putting a blind fold on her and telling her to go about her toddler life....not helpful at all.
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Getting second opinions when I didn't feel the dr was right....did this a few times!
What have been your biggest difficulties?
DR's who don't listen to what I have to say. I am with this kid 24/7 I think I can tell you a thing or two about her - without you telling me otherwise.
