A Pemphigoid story

Hi. I am a 55 year old woman with a recent diagnosis of Mucous Membrane Pemphigoid.
It is only oral at this point. Fortunately, as of now my symptoms are not too severe and the pain is bearable. I was very fortunate that my dentist was on top of things and ordered a biopsy after a couple of months of thinking I just had severe gingivitis, he realized that it was much more than that and referred me for the biopsy. I have seen stories where people go from one doctor to the next for ears before they have a diagnoses so I know how lucky I am.
I am now being treated by a dermatologist. He has me on 2000 mg of Cellcept and occasionally adds Prednisone when I have a severe outbreak.
