I had an outbreak in June of 2010. Was not diagnosed until December of 2010. It was a long hard battle for over 3.5 years. My derm gave me the word "remission" in October 2014. So it has been a year now. I still get flare-ups in my mouth and nose every once-in-a-while, and would panic thinking it was coming back. But that comes and goes without treatment. I pray that it never comes back. I feel better than I have in years. Please say a prayer for me and I will do the same in return.
