I am the daughter of a man with RP. He and his brother were diagnosed at a young age and are now in their late 50s. Dad has just recently seen a rapid decline in his vision. My uncle, his brother, is also affected. Their maternal grandfather and his brother were also affected. Their grandfather was legally blind by age 40. I have joined this map to find people close to our community who have also been affected and who may have info/updates on medical advances for the disease.
