Spinal Muscular Atrophy
I was born in 1998. I was diagnosed with SMA type 2 at 9 months old, but I started showing symptoms at 6 months. I love country music and science. I'm a junior in high school and I plan to go to medical school and get a PhD. in genetics. My dream is to be a medical geneticist and cure a disease, maybe SMA! I'm not sure what else to write, but please feel free to ask me anything.

Funny- my names Kristen, and I went to college to be a geneticist... Then decided I was more into fine art and teaching! Haha :) best of luck with whatever you decide to do... I hope you stick with science (my second academic love)!
