Story about Sturge Weber Syndrome .

Neeley's story

Aug 16, 2017

By: Haley

Neeley was born in March of 2010. She started having seizures July 4th of 2010. She tried several seizure medications and ultimately ended up needing brain surgery when she was 2 yrs old. She had surgery on June 20 2012. Which stopped the seizures for a while but they have recently come back on the healthy side of her brain. The seizures she is having now ate not as bad as they were before the surgery but every seizure can cause issues. Neeley is in therapy two days a week and has to be in the special needs program at school. She has braces on both legs and her left arm. She wears glasses because she has a major blind spot in her left eye and her right eye has some vision impairment as well. She is an over all happy child but has been through so much in her short life. I just pray that every day she stays positive and God keeps her safe.
