Wake up call

Year Condition Began: 2019

I contracted TM just before my 61st birthday on December 1st 2019. I spent 9 days in the hospital, then 7 days in the ARU. I was paralyzed from the chest down for several days, but that resolved to just a weakened left leg and general numbness and tingling with hypersensitivity and temperature issues from the chest down. I did regain much of my bladder and bowel and some bowel control with the use of suppositories. I was diagnosed quickly, which I think was the reason I've been recovering more than others have.
I was always healthy, no other illnesses and have exercised 5 days a week for the past 25 years. I'm still experiencing improvements, but they are slower now.
I'm doing PT once a week with a PT person, then a few times with a Pelvic Floor PT expert trying to strengthen the connection to that muscle which controls both bladder and bowel. I will also work out 5 times a week on my own.

The best change I made was to my diet. A complete gut reset and as much anti inflammatory foods as possible
