Ehlers-Danlos hypermobility runs through our family. Some have it worse than others, but almost everyone seems to be affected to some degree. We went from never having heard of Ehlers-Danlos to having several of us diagnosed in less than a year. It was easiest to go directly to a geneticist. Other doctors seem to shy away from a definitive diagnosis, even if you follow the Beighton scale.
