I've had TN for almost 6 years now. For the first 10 months, I was backwards and forwards to my dentist before he finally advised that he had tried everything and that I should speak to my Gp. The first GP I spoke to advised me to speak to my dentist as it was a dental problem, despite me telling her that I had been seeing my dentist for almost a year. I got a second opinion from another GP and she diagnosed TN within seconds. I was sent to Glasgow Dental hospital for confirmation and then was started on a path of trying to get the correct medication and the correct dose.
almost 6 years later Nd I'm just waiting to get a appointment for a MRI and, hopefully, MVD surgery.
