Trigeminal Neuralgia

Mar 17, 2017

I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia in 2015 at 27. I was prescribed carbamazepine, then gabapentin (which has been better) and it gives me adequate pain relief - I take enough to make the pain manageable as the side effects of the medication are not the best (drowsiness, memory and concentration issues). I like connecting with other people with TN; as TN has no outward signs it makes it hard to describe just how debilitating and painful the attacks are and it can feel very lonely.
