Doctors do not understand this disease

When I went to my GP complaining of facial pain, she said"you have TN." It'll go away on its own. Months later, I forced her to send me to a specialist. She sent me to Dr. Schneiderman in St. Mike'ss TO. He oredered an MRI to rule out tumors, cancer. MS, and  other fatal diseases. Nine months later, I had the MRI and TN was confirmed. Then came all the drugs. I do not like feeling stoned all day. I can't focus, and I have a stressful job at a law office that requires me to be on the ball.

I went to a Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist and have had 4 painful treatments so far. But she said that it was a hard disease to treat. That was expensive at over $100 a week and I have no medical insurance.

I am hoping to find some better health professional in my area to guide me. I will keep you all posted when I get more information on that.
