Headaches have been apart of my life forever. Yet after three different car accidents ( none were my fault) my headaches turned to migraines. Is suffered with different Dr's telling me it is muscles an they can't help me. When my headaches NEVER stopped is when I seriously thought you was going to die. For 386 days my head never stopped pounding!!!!! I went to my PCP for demerol then o the ER for morphine and the looks from them were devastating. I knew I wasI in pain but they couldn't find anything wrong with me. I finally begged my PCP for an MRI and insurance agreed. Hoorah we have a diagnosis!!!!! Chiari malformation 1. Now what do I do. I am sent to a highly thought of neurosurgeon in Kingsport who said he had done hundreds of these types of surgery. (Now I don't think he had a patient like me before.) My decompression was don 10/1/2014 Andi was sent home 10/3/2014. I seen my NS 1 time since surgery. Got meningitis 10/5/2014 but he didn't come see me his partner did.  That began my FIGHT to actually see my NS and not his npartner nor his s nurse practitioner. It is now 2016 and I have moved from that so called Dr to UVA Charlottesville where I have seen Dr Helms and currently waiting to see Dr. Liu.
