From puberty I have had migraines attacks, the doctors just said it was migraine. My mother suffers from extreme migraines so it was believed I just had what she had. Every period I had an attack, when I ate various foods I had an attack. The nausea was too much to handle. I got way sicker then anyone else did from a migraine. I felt as if I would suffer so much during an attack that I could loose my sanity. The migraines were so severe that after it subsided I still had to be careful with my head moving too much because it would be painful and sore. Sore inside my head. Luckily as I grew up the migraines stopped but the vomiting and nausea side became more aggressive. Very agressive. Everyday severe nausea took my quality of life away. Every doctor I saw gave me nothing. My doctor didn't believe me and one even told my mum it was either just my anxiety or an eating disorder. I gave up getting help after that. I moved out of home and suffered alone. The attacks became more and more aggressive. A couple years went past and it got so aggressive, the fatigue and nausea got too much and my depression became another force to have to deal with. It looked as if I had some kind of GERD. But it didn't explain enough. I eventually got refered to a gastroenterologist and had all the tests done. They found nothing and couldn't help me. I was at this point terrifed as to what it could be. After years of suffering a friend of a friend heard about my suffering and told me about CVS. THANKGOODNESS THEY DID. I went to my doctor the very next day and who would've guessed, I got diagnosed. After years of being scared in the dark I now know what's wrong. My doctor said sorry for having to self diagnose but thankyou for telling me about CVS. It's very bittersweet! I'm now starting treatment with amiltriptyline (good so far I think) and eventually the mito-cocktail.
