Hydrocephalus: Tatiana's Journey

I was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida two months before the due date on April 9th, 1996. I was born with a twin sister. I came out first. My sister had no problems except chronic asthma at birth, but as for me I was 1 pound at birth and had congential hydrocephalus. Throughout my life I've had 10 revisions and 1 seizure when I was 3. My first revision was actually 7 revisions all occuring after I was born because of that I spent 3 months in the hospital. My 8th revision happened when I was 9 before moving to Georgia. Wherever my shunt was placed had popped. My last two revisions occured in April of 2009. I had got my VP shunt replaced with a VA shunt. It's been 7 years since my last revision.
