Is Hypoparathyroidism hereditary?

Hypoparathyroidism is a rare disorder characterized by insufficient production or secretion of parathyroid hormone (PTH) by the parathyroid glands. These small glands are located in the neck and play a crucial role in regulating calcium and phosphorus levels in the body.

When it comes to the hereditary nature of hypoparathyroidism, the answer is not straightforward.
