How did all start?
Eyes feeling strange, I could feel them moving.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
The day I went to get my eyes checked I was admitted to hospital and diagnosed that week.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Medication controls most of the pain.
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Acceptance that life has changed.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Adapting to my limitations.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Yes I no longer have the energy to be as outdoorsy, and on the go as I was before... i cant do things the same.
What things have you stopped doing?
Going out as much, working as much. Doing so much in general. Pain is exhausting.
What do you think about the future?
I hope this condition will go so I have my life back.
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
Life is a blessing, even when it's hard.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Be myself.
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
Limited.
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Neurologists in my experience don't care or understand, research a lot.
