Story about Lyme Disease .

My journey with Lyme

Feb 1, 2016

I was bitten by a tick in Germany\Austria about 28 years ago. I had the typical bulls eye and wandering rash symptoms. The rash got so big that it covered about 1/3 of my body before I went to a doctor. I was put on 3 weeks of antibiotics and the rash dissapeared. I never went back to the doctor.

All the following years I had a number and variety of symptoms, some were recognisable illnesses (Thyroid, Gall Bladder, both of which were operated on; clinical depression), some were symptoms that my doctors did not know what to do with (including incredible burning in my thighs; pain when walking, each step would send a shooting pain up my thighs, menopause symptoms long after menopause (hot flushes, sweating at night), back pain of various kinds, extreme exhaustion). My husband called me a "psycho auntie" as a result! Although some neurological symptoms presented in earlier years, in later years I began to have more extreme symptoms (no strength in my legt, not being able to walk, walking like I was drunk, slurring of speech, extemem short term memory loss, mixing up words when speaking or mixing up letters when typing and not recognising what was wrong), finally such exhaustion that I was bedridden for weeks /months on end with very limited getting out of bed.

No doctors were able to diagnose me, except for the particular illnesses presenting themselves. ALL the doctors I asked to look into Lyme refused, saying mainly they had no time.

I finally researched online and after joining patient groups all over the world, and reading all I could find in the way of research, I was able to diagnose myself according to the American Lyme Institute: tick bite with bulls eye mark and wandering rash + symptoms.

Since then I chose the natural treatment as opposed to the anti-biotics (which is not readily available in South Africa anyway) and have made changes to my life style as far as I am able financially.

The change of diet, doing what I can to get rid of Candida and using the Rife Resonator as well as taking supplements has helped me a lot.
