I contracted Lyme disease in 1977, at the age of 10. I was hospitalized with all of the tell-take signs, but was treated for a "spider bite" and told I had the flu (in July) and was experiencing "growing pains". Misdiagnosed for decades with mono, EBV, HHV6-A, early stage MS, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, etc. Finally properly diagnosed with Chronic Lyme in 2002. The debilitating affects of Lyme and co-infections have completely alters my life. I continue to battle daily in my desire to achieve wellness. I am a Lyme Warrior and Advocate.
