My journey with tmep cutaneous mastocytosis

In 2018 I began to develop these big red spots on my chest not to many that I was concerned but definitely noticed. I also started to not be able to tolerate being out in the heat or sun it became a joke in our family that I couldn't handle the heat.. fast forward to August 2024 It hit me out of nowhere I woke up with dizziness brain fog fatigue and I thought I was sick it didn't go away and the red spots were now very prominent from the knees up. I repeatedly went to the gp multiple times a week in distress with the severe internal symptoms I was having I was told I had anxiety etc I even seen a internal medicine doctor he said nothing was wrong. Then I changed doctors and they took me seriously we did a biopsy of 3 spots which came back telangiectasia macularis eruptiva perstans. I was sent to dermatology who gave me antihistamines and sent me on my way no follow up nothing. Back at the gp because it wasn't working I was sent to immunology who I'm currently with now. Testing out what treatment works for me and while I'm not there yet I'm a little better then when I started out it's definitely a long journey of self advocacy and researching myself to see what helps.
