Story about Myasthenia Gravis .

MG

May 25, 2017

I started to have symptoms at 18, when I was tested for everything that you can think of. Had a spinal tap and they DX'd me with Lymes disease. I was put on Prednisone and miracuously got better. I got pregnant with my first daughter shortly after and all symptoms were gone. I thought that I was cured. A few weeks after having my Daughter I started to slur my words, my eye started to droop and I could not lift her. I could barely walk for that matter. I ended up not being able to chew and had a hard time swallowing. I lost 3  lbs in one month. I went to another Nuero who knew as soon as she saw me. I was given a tinsolin test and it was postive. She put me on a regimine of Mestinon , Prednisone and vitamins galore. I was very sick, very weak. It was almost impossible taking care of my baby.

I had a Thymectomy when my daughter was 9 month sold and ended up getting pregnant with my 2nd daughter. I did Okay through my 2nd pregnancy and not as horrible after. I was starting to slowly feel a little better.

Within 2 years I was in remission. I have stayed in remission ever since and my 2nd Daughter is 17 1/2.

I have since faught through Tyroid cancer and Valley fever. I can honestly say that MG was the worst thing that I have ever been through. I pray that I will never come out of remission.
