Years of symptoms and challenges, misdiagnosis, medications, and no relief finally led me to a physician's assistant who recommended a sleep study. I will never forget her because her suggestion changed my life.
The diagnosis of narcolepsy with cataplexy finally came in 2012. Everything I had been struggling through sudden made sense.
