I was diagnosed after a car accident in 2010. It didn't seem like much at the time but over the next few weeks i had unbearable pain. I went to a chiropractor and did 3 months of therapy and exercises to rebuild my strength but it didn't help. I was also seeing an orthopedic surgeon. The orthopedic surgeon is the one who found my syrinx but told me it was no big deal! I've Dr shopped for the past 7 years and still haven't found a Dr that will concede that Syringomyelia causes pain and destruction.
