I was born with TOF in June of 1997. I had it repaired in March of 1998. I was 9 months old. The cardiologist didn't want to do the surgery until I was 5 but I was so bad off they couldn't wait. I didn't even learn to roll over until after I had the surgery, when normal 9 month olds were learning to walk. I had to be reopened 9 days after the initial surgery because the patching on the hole in my heart came loose, this wasn't realized until I hadn't gotten any better at all after the surgery in 9 days. I'm 20 years old now and haven't had any complications since.
