I HAVE GOT WHAT ????????

Those were my first words, after being diagnosed !!!! 

I had never ever, even heard of the word ! I was scared , very scared, once I read what in fact I was diagnosed with, no one - not even my pharmacist had heard of Behcets !!! 

Should I fall down and cry ? - I did. 

Should I phone my friends - no - I did not. I turned to my husband , together we sat that night stunned ! 

After much research, several opinions and being approved a Medical Number to be the South African Guinea Pig to go on Thalidimide........ Which was then to be ordered for me from Germany, we both then went into denial - hubby and I. 

I lived with Behcets for 13 years - then !

Overnight it went into remission ! 

Wow ! I went on to get involved, in helping others, South Africa Behcets Support, 

to start up in South Africa, taking our support system to another level. 

Then in 2012 - we lost SNOWY !!!! 

I fell apart , till now ...................
