Story about Lennox-Gastaut syndrome .

Katie's Adventure

Jan 10, 2016

My daughter Katie was born perfectly healthy and "normal". When she was 8 months old, she got sick and had her first seizure. Her first three seizures were within 13 hours and each lasted longer than a half hour. Almost 4 years later, we are still battling her seizures every day and last week, she was diagnosed with LGS. It has been a long road and this diagnosis makes me feel like it will be even longer but we are hopeful that she will someday walk and talk and play like other children her age.
