How did all start?

In 2019, I began to feel pain in my tailbone and lower back.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

An MRI showed Tarlov cysts in the sacral region

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

Only pain management medication: meloxicam

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?

Using the Tush Cush when driving and modifying exercises as needed. Social media groups for those with Tarlov cysts as well.

What have been your biggest difficulties?

Finding specialists in Tarlov cysts

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

Family is supportive yet concerned.

What things have you stopped doing?

I stopped certain rigorous exercises that I’ve always loved doing.

What do you think about the future?

I worry whether my cysts will grow, if pain will increase and if my active lifestyle will be affected
